Injury Updates For Cup Tie

09:43 20th February 2016

Alan Pardew told the assembled media they would have to 'wait and see' whether winger Yannick Bolasie returns from injury for Sunday's FA Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur.

Bolasie has been back in full training following his hip injury but the manager wouldn't confirm whether he would be involved.

"You're going to have wait and see, Yannick has had a couple of days where we wondering if he was a player or a magician at times.

"He did some very strange things that he can do, and of course we've missed that, so he has given everybody a lift.

"He has a personality which lifts a team anyway. He's fit and he's smiling again because no players wants to be injured, least of all somebody like Yala.

"It's been good to have him around and whether he starts or is involved, we'll have to wait and see."

It was not confirmed whether Dwight Gayle and Joe Ledley will be fit enough to return but James McArthur & Jason Puncheon are definitely out with injury and Pape Souare serves the first match of his suspension.
