After completing his move to Birmingham City yesterday, former Eagle Darren Ambrose would like to thank the Crystal Palace supporters for their support during his time at the club.
"I had a fantastic three years at the club and it was probably one of the best parts of my career. I appreciate everyone's support over the years at Crystal Palace, through the good and the bad times." he told the official website just minutes after completing the move to the midlands.
Ambrose's goal against Sheffield Wednesday saw Palace beat the drop and stay in the Championship in 2010 and it was the period of his career that Darren will always cherish.
"It was a tough situation we found ourselves in when we went into administration and to come out of it, the way we did, was one of the greatest seasons of my career. I have been involved in some great games with Crystal Palace and I sincerely wish the club every success in the future.
Birmingham City will play host to Crystal Palace at St Andrews on the 15th December in the npower Championship but Darren hopes that both clubs will be playing against each other in a higher division in the not too distant future.
"My main concern is Birmingham now, but hopefully it will not be too long before Birmingham and Palace will be playing against each other in the top flight."
