Palace are delighted to confirm the signing of Jacob Butterfield on loan from Norwich City until February 19th.
The midfielder has made three appearances for Norwich this season, having moved from Barnsley in the summer where he established a reputation as one of the best midfielders in the Championship.
Butterfield has previously been on loan at Bolton this season and he made eight appearances for Dougie Freedman's side, whom he will go straight into the Palace squad to face this Saturday.
Speaking this morning (Wednesday), Butterfield told the official Palace website: "Palace have been trying to push it through for a while and have been waiting for Norwich to give permission (for the move) so I'm delighted it's been done now. I was impressed with the enthusiasm of the manager to get me to join the club and he made me believe he's going to do well by me, so he was a big influence on coming.
"When I went to Bolton I really needed a loan spell to get some games, whilst I was there I played well and I'm starting to get back to the player that I was before my injury. I'm just looking to build on that again and really get back to the sort of form I know I'm capable of."
