Loan Round-Up: Gray Grabs Assist

13:57 22nd February 2016

Palace midfielder Jake Gray got himself an assist but couldn't prevent Hartlepool United losing 2-1 to Luton Town on Saturday.

Gray produced a cross for Adam Jackson to cancel out the Hatters' opening goal at Kenilworth Road, but with four minutes remaining Craig Makail-Smith netted a second for the home side and condemn the Pools to defeat.

That leaves them 21st in League Two, just two points ahead of the relegation zone but with two games in hand.

However there was better news for Jerome Binnom-Williams who made his debut for Leyton Orient at left-back on Saturday and helped Kevin Nolan's side to a 1-0 win against Notts County.

The defender played the full 90 minutes on his O's bow after it was delayed following an illness which kept him out of action, but a strong performance helped his team to victory and maintained their hopes of a League Two play-off spot.

Elsewhere there was no action once again for Jonny Williams who remained on the bench for the entirety of MK Dons' 2-0 home defeat to Bristol City. Williams meanwhile could feature in the Dons' game against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.

Ryan Inniss missed Port Vale's 1-0 loss at Sheffield United with a hamstring injury, and Reise Allassani also was an unused substitute as Bromley beat Woking 2-1 in the National League, but Oliver Pain played the full game as he helped Metropolitan Police to a 1-1 draw against Burgess Hill Town.
