Crystal Palace full-back Jack Hunt has joined Championship side Barnsley on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old arrived at Selhurst Park on transfer deadline day in August 2013, but sustained a nasty ankle injury in training during his first week in SE25 and is yet to make an appearance for the club.

Hunt will return to his native Yorkshire where he progressed from the youth ranks at Huddersfield Town to the first team, making over 100 appearances after his debut in January 2011 before he was signed by Ian Holloway five months ago.

Having recovered from his injury setback, Hunt will now link up with another Eagles loanee Peter Ramage at Oakwell as they aim to help the Tykes claw themselves out of the Championship relegation zone.
