Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak has been named Male Footballer of the Year at the Australian Football Awards.
The Eagles’ stand-in captain was named as the winner of the prestigious prize at the fifth annual Australian Football Awards, which were held at a gala event at the Sydney Convention Centre earlier today.
The awards bring together all levels of the sport from the grass roots football community through to the international ranks of the Socceroos, providing a unique opportunity to recognise and reward outstanding achievements.
The top gong has previously been won by the likes of Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and prolific Al Nasr striker Brett Holman.
Jedinak, who also won personal honours when he was named Palace's Player of the Year last season, is set to play for Australia on Tuesday 19th November when they face Costa Rica at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney.
