Caretaker Manager Keith Millen was left frustrated that his side didn't take anything from their trip to The Hawthorns as a goal in each half left his side bottom of the league
"It is deja vu a little bit. We did a lot of good things but they punished us. To go in behind at half time was disappointing.
"The players grew in belief as the second half went on. West Brom were happy to be 1-0 up and they countered. We had chances to equalise, I was right behind Mile Jedinak's header and it was very close.
"They showed their quality with the corner, it was a good second goal for them.
"Fair play to our lads, they kept on going. We know what this league is about and we have to learn very quickly."
Adlène Guedioura suffered a rib injury and had to leave the field during the first half as the team suffered another blow that they had to bounce back from.
"I have no complaints with the team spirit. The players have to keep on going.
"Adlene looks like he has some kind of rib damage, but hopefully it is not too bad."
Millen was asked about the vacancy for manager but stressed it was important the right appointment was made and is set to prepare the team for their next match against Everton.
"It is not an easy situation, with all the speculation about when the manager is going to come in and who it will be.
"The players have been focused - I don't think you can accuse them of not concentrating on the job in hand. But it is a tough time for everyone at the club really.
"The chairman is not going to rush into it. He needs to appoint the right person.
"But I think the sooner someone does come in, the better - then there will be new ideas, a fresh voice and hopefully a little bit of luck will come our way."
