Around 60 children and eight teachers from Larkhall Primary School in Lambeth came to Crystal Palace's Selhurst Park Study Centre on the 2nd July to take part in various olympic activities before the games officially begin in London on the 27th July. The children were split up into three groups and carried out three activities during the day, consisting of olympic based games, an ICT/art lesson where they used computers to create a number of unique pictures about themselves, and finally a stadium tour, where students were able to experience the changing rooms, the Glaziers' Bar, the managers' dugout and the Main Stand at Selhurst Park.

If that wasn't enough for the eager schoolchildren, they were then given a presentation with Sue West, an Olympic torch bearer who carried the torch through Immingham, North Lincolnshire. West, 34, from Horley, then took pictures with the school, before they left the ground after what had been a memorable and unforgettable experience.
