Crystal Palace have today finalised the signing of Adlene Guedioura from Nottingham Forest on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old midfielder has joined Ian Holloway’s side despite the closing of the transfer window at 11pm last night as part of the deal was agreed before the deadline, allowing the club to continue with proceedings to get the deal done.

Having started his career in the French lower leagues, he moved onto Belgium where starred for Kortrijk and Charleroi before he was spotted by Wolverhampton Wanderers. After an impressive loan spell, Guedioura was brought to Molineux on a permanent deal.

His career received a setback when he suffered a fractured tibia against Fulham in September 2010 but he battled back and put in some impressive displays despite six months on the sidelines.

The French-born Algerian then moved to Forest on loan in January 2012, only to become a permanent Forest player later that summer.  He went on to become an integral part of the team, making 35 appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals along the way.

Guedioura is also a regular for the Algerian national side having made 27 appearances, including a substitute appearance against England in the group stage of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
