Four of Crystal Palace’s up-and-coming youngsters have secured loan deals to aid their development.
Jerome Williams, David Gregory, Derek Tieku and Ross Fitzsimons have all signed one-month contracts at non-league sides in a bid to gain vital first team experience.
Full-back Williams, who played for Palace’s first team in the Capital One Cup defeat at Bristol City earlier this season, has joined Skrill Premier side Forest Green Rovers until 1st February.
The Green Devils currently lie nine points off the play-off places with games in hand over many of the teams above them – and Williams will be hoping to help them charge up the table at the start of 2014.
Young goalkeepers Fitzsimons and Gregory have joined Hendon and Sutton United respectively. 19-year-old Fitzsimons, who has found himself mainly as a substitute for the development side this season, joins up with the Isthmian League Premier Division outfit for a month, while Gregory will be hoping to aid Sutton’s promotion push in the Conference South – a league currently topped by Palace’s neighbours, Bromley.
Finally, forward Tieku has penned a deal at fellow Conference South side Hayes and Yeading United, who sit five points behind 4th placed Sutton, with a game in hand.
Meanwhile, striker Kwesi Appiah has returned to Palace following the end of his successful loan spell at Cambridge United, where he hit 10 goals in 17 games.
