At his pre-match Chelsea press conference on Thursday Alan Pardew revealed that the injury situation has not improved and his team selection is also hampered by a suspension.

Bakary Sako, Dwight Gayle, Connor Wickham and Yannick Bolasie will once again be missing for the London derby and Yohan Cabaye serves a one match suspension following his fifth booking of the season against Swansea.

"Team news is as much as it was against Swansea, we're without Sako, Gayle, Wickham, Bolasie and Cabaye. With the bodies we have available I'm confident but Chelsea looked more assured against Manchester United so they're favourites. The foundation of Chelsea's team is a bit better now, they have two deeper lying midfielders and have great players." Pardew told the assembled media at the Beckenham Training Ground.

The game against Chelsea at Selhurst Park is on Sunday and kicks-off at 1.30pm.
