Getting There

By Road

Oakwell is well signposted from junction 37 of the M1. At the end of the slip road, take the fourth exit on to Dodworth Road. At the next roundabout take the fourth exit on to West Way. At the following roundabout take the second road on to Harborough Hill Road (A61) then turn sharp right on to Pontefract Road. After 0.17 miles turn left on to Grove Street and Oakwell will be on your right.  

Parking 

The closest car park is at the The Mall Alhambra, which has 548 spaces and charges £1.40 up to two hours; £2.20 up to four hours and £4.50 for up to eight hours. It is located off Harborough Hill Road on Lambra Road, shortly after the roundabout between West Way and Harborough Hill Road.

By Train

The closest station to Oakwell is Barnsley Station, which is accessible by trains from London St Pancras to Sheffield, where you must change for trains to Barnsley.  

From The Station

Turn left out on to Eldon Street and then turn left again on to Midland Street. Turn left at the end of the road on to Kendray Street. At the end of street carry on over to Bala Street, which leads straight on to Belgrave Road and Oakwell is located at the end of the road.

Before Kick Off

THE HOLLEYWELL INN, in Oakwell Road, is recommended as an away fans friendly pub, while the Outpost on Sheffield Road is also regarded as a suitably friendly establishment. Drinking in the town centre is generally not recommended, especially near the bus and train stations, and cautious discretion is advised when choosing any pub.

There is a bar in the away end of the ground, however should the stand be split between the two sets of supporters the bar is situated on the home side.
