Miami FC Next For Palace Baltimore

Posted on: Wed 01 Sep 2010
After back-to-back home games, Crystal Palace Baltimore take to the road for two games in three days. On Wednesday, June 9th at 7:30pm they visit Miami FC for the first time, followed by their second trip of the season to the Rochester Rhinos on Saturday, June 12th at 7:00pm.

Palace Baltimore are looking to bounce back from their disappointing home loss at the hands of the league-leading Austin Aztex ten days ago. Palace had won their previous two matches. Miami FC meanwhile drew their most recent match at Montreal, their sixth draw of the campaign, having lost the two outings before that. Wednesday's clash will be Miami's third in a row away from home.

Miami's danger men are Brazilian forward Paulo Araujo, Jr. who has four goals and two assists to his name this year, and former DC United standout Christian Gomez with three goals and three assists. Palace meanwhile had been strong in defence during the month of May with 'keeper Evan Bush and his back line allowing only six goals in seven games. Baltimore is still looking to convert more chances up front and will look to leading scorers Mathew Mbuta and Randi Patterson to add to their accounts.

Saturday's date with the Rochester Rhinos will be the second visit by Palace in less than a month. The first meeting saw Baltimore claim a 1-0 victory courtesy of second half substitute Randi Patterson's 55th minute goal, his first of the season. Rochester are coming off a goalless draw at home to the NSC Minnesota Stars on Friday. Anthony Hamilton is the Rhinos' top goal scorer with Ryan Heins and Agustin Nunez close behind.

Palace Baltimore fans can watch live video streaming of both games on the club's video page - live.palacebaltimore.com - starting shortly before kickoff.

In other news the club has released Jordan Seabrook, John Jonke and Kenold Versailles. Versailles signed today with the Rochester Rhinos.
