Kickz is a football-based scheme that has developed through local partnerships with a number of agencies including the Premier League, The Football Association, The Football League, the Football Foundation, the Metropolitan Police Service and the Metropolitan Police Authority to create a social inclusion programme.

The aims of the programme is to engage young people (aged 11- 19 years of age) in a range of constructive activities, breaking down barriers between the police and young people. This is aimed at reducing crime and anti social behaviour in the targeted neighbourhoods using football as the main tool to achieving this via estate based sports sessions supported by additional sessions and activities based upon the requests of the young people. This includes educational workshops around various topics at the request of the young people.

Achievement Award

As recognition of the commitment and hard work of the young people involved in all programmes we have achievement awards which are given out every two months to those who have made an outstanding contribution to the programme. An example of this is Ashley Thorpe who is aged 11. Ashley has regularly attended sessions at Milne Park but more than that he has been a role model for all the other young people attending. Ashley assists in the setting up and dismantling of equipment and has been a willing helper in the management of teams and competitions for his peers. Trevor Meader Crystal Palace Football in the community Kickz Officer has described Ashely as "an enthusiastic and willing volunteer who is always there to help".
