Football Success For Schools In BR2
At the end of the last school year Crystal Palace hosted a boys and girls U11 tournament for the schools in the Bromley borough. The boys tournament consisted of eight teams, and two groups of four played off for places in the semi finals. With Biggin Hill and Southborough primary schools justified winning their respective groups progressing to the final. Southborough ran out eventual winners with a 3-1 victory.
In the girls competition five schools entered and competed in a league where they played each other twice with the top four going through to the semi finals. Oak Lodge managed to progress with both their teams and Chislehurst and Raglan made up the semis. After two hard fought games Raglan and Chislehurst won through. Chislehurst edged the previous encounters with a win and a draw in the group stages. However Raglan turned it around in the final and won with a slender 1-0 score line.

Both Southborough and Raglan were rewarded for their success with pitch presentations at Crystal Palace's home game versus Swansea and Plymouth respectively.
