CPLFC were knocked out of the womens FA Cup last Sunday after a 2-1 away defeat to Millwall Lionesess.

On a very rainy and windy day, Millwall had the wind behind them and made the better start to the game, forcing the Palace goalkeeper into making a couple of fine saves.

The Eagles did push forward on a few occasions but could not create any clear chances. The home side broke the deadlock in the 37th minute. A corner was swung in from the left and the ball was forced in after a goalmouth scramble.

Millwall doubled their lead six minutes later when a long free kick was caught in the wind and sailed over the Palace goalkeeper into the net..
Palace came out for the second half with more bite and straight from the kick-off advanced down the left. Williams' cross was met on the half-volley by Poole but her shot was superbly saved.

From that moment on, Palace forced the Lionesses back and the pressure paid off in the 75th minute. Ogunneye forced the Millwall goalkeeper to misplace her pass from the back, Curtis picked up the loose ball and chipped the ball home from 25 yards.

Palace continued to push forward but were unable to score an equaliser.
