Warnock : "I Am Proud Of Them"
Neil Warnock took all three points from one top six side a few weeks back with a win at West Brom and when leaving Cardiff he felt his side could have been going back down the M4 with more than a point.
"At the end of the game I was probably disappointed not to win but we just lacked that bit of extra quality when it mattered as we had the opportunities. They are a good side though and their recent record of 10 goals in two games shows that. It is very difficult playing against them but we didn't lay down and they had to earn everything against us.
"I was pleased how we defended and stuck to the job in hand. I would like to give a special mention to Clint Hill who was a real hero for me out there today. Like six other lads he has been suffering with illness before the game but got through it and did a great job for the side".
Referee Steve Tanner had to make some crucial decisions through the match and the boss was pleased with the official's performance.
"I thought the referee did a good job out there and was not swayed by the crowd. Looking at the replays of the penalty shouts it has showed that he was right. He also made a good decision with what could have been a second yellow for Alassane N'Diaye but he didn't listen to the crowd and made his own decision. He was consistent throughout."
The unbeaten run goes to five games with this point on the club's first visit to the new stadium in Cardiff and Warnock is happy with the progress in the circumstances.
"We have restrictions and have had a transfer embargo on us for some time and players out injured but we don't complain and just battle on. I am proud of them and they got what they deserved because of the performance they put on out there today."
