Virus Hits Players
Neil Warnock was quick to admit after the game that the best team won the game but knew that a virus played a role in the defeat.
"We deserved to get beaten. We weren't at the races today. In fairness to the players, they've had a disastrous day.
"We had five lads down with sickness and diarrhoea this morning and Darren Ambrose has some sort of virus. I've never seen anything like it on the morning of the match.
"We couldn't get anywhere near going and did well to only lose two The best team won and now we move on."
The boss also commented on the decision to award the opening goal when there was doubt as to whether the ball had crossed the line.
"I wish the linesman had been at Bristol earlier in the season when we had a perfect goal disallowed but we can't do anything about that now and just have to accept it."
The second half was better for the visitors but the boss knew the problems and knows that his team now have to put the defeat behind them.
"We had no energy and just looked sapped - we now have a blank week and have to work towards our next match."
