Neil Warnock was full of praise for his players after the victory at Sheffield Wednesday saw them take their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

"The lads have been brilliant this week, in the circumstances.  It is difficult for them, when they're not getting paid, but their spirit is very good.

"Me and the players haven't been paid but we will get paid. It's not easy for the chairman because he's put a lot of money in over the years

"We've just got to get on with it because there are a lot of worse things happening than just not getting paid for a few days."

The boss was pleased to come back to Sheffield and get the win and wanted to give a mention to a few of his players in the after match press conference.

 "I thought we deserved to win and it's just great to be in the hat for the next round.

"Neil Danns was, in my opinion, the best player out on the pitch this afternoon. At half time we were considering moving him to match up a tactical change of theirs but I felt it would be better to let him continue having the impact on the game he had been and make sure they worry about us. He has had a terrible time with injury since joining but had a good pre-season and has been a major player for us this season.

"Johannes Ertl is a centre half playing in midfield and is typical of  a player who is great for a manager as he never does anything wrong and goes out there and does the job he is asked to do.

"I am delighted for Calvin Andrew who had to work really hard to comeback from his knee injury suffered at the end of last season.  I have not seen many players work as hard as he has to get back ready for the first team and came back ahead of schedule. I was so pleased to see him get his first goal for the club and in added time we saw something typical of him as he covered a lot of ground to close an opponent down."
