Neil Warnock was proud of his team after another away day success in the west country. His side not only beat their opponents, Plymouth, but they also had to overcome torrential rain which made for heavy playing conditions.
"It was hard work. The weather has been atrocious. Once it started to rain I knew it would lash down and stay throughout the game but we prepared really well. We got it spot-on.
"I stressed to them what the pitch was going to be like and the team that we were playing against are fighting for their lives. We had to match them and I went with a team with a spine, and I thought the spine was very strong today.
"I was really proud of the lads this afternoon because they did a very professional job and when you look over the whole game Julian (Speroni) only really had one save to make.
"I said to them that whatever football they thought about playing they had to go back to basics because of the conditions. I thought the best player on the pitch scored the winner. There was only him who could have scored a goal like that in those conditions."
The boss was delighted that Victor's 18th minute effort meant the travelling support had made a worthwhile journey.
"The fans came down in their numbers and got wet through. It's a long trip down from London and many would have come by coach and my lads took six hours on the bus yesterday so they know how much they put themselves out to come and see the game. I am really pleased for them to be going back after seeing us take the three points."
The media after the game once again questioned Neil on the subject of Victor Moses and he suggested a move is getting closer for the youngster.
"He could play in any of the top sides and I am looking forward to seeing the disappointment on the faces of those premiership managers who have had slight doubts about going for VIctor because I know they will have missed out on an absolute nugget.
"The chairman is talking to one or two parties but I asked him whether Victor could play down here and he gave an example of what he can do this afternoon to win us the game."
