Neil Warnock left Molineux a happy man after seeing his side take a Premiership side to within six minutes of causing an upset but earlier in the afternoon he was far from happy with the performance of match referee. Chris Foy.
"I thought the referee had a poor first half, but as poor as he was in the first half he was as good in the second. But I think my half-time team-talk did the trick really - I asked him if he wanted some smelling salts. I didn't think the concentration level was good enough from him in the first half.
"We were punished with the first goal because I thought Alan Lee had a case for a penalty and then for the free kick for their first goal Danny Butterfield won the ball."
The boss was proud of the way his squad performed to get into Sunday's 5th round draw.
"I can't say enough good things about my side - an absolutely incredible little bunch. We deserve to be in the hat and it will not be an easy game for them down at Selhurst Park."
The first half was held up for six minutes due to an injury to defender Claude Davis who had to be taken to hospital after the way he landed after an aerial challenge.
"We should know later today, he's had a scan locally and they couldn't see anything wrong with his neck, But the consultant wants to look at him first before they let him out."
