After picking up a point at The Keepmoat Stadium Neil Warnock praised the match referee following two second half decisions.
Clint Hill was shown a yellow card when Billy Sharp was fouled but the home camp were looking for a red and in the dyeing minutes the Doncaster had two shouts for penalties turned down.
"I thought the referee today was excellent, he (Sharp) knocked the ball miles. It couldn't have been a goal-scoring opportunity. If it had been a younger ref he could have given him red, but he only gave a yellow."
"Jordon Mutch's appeals for a stoppage-time penalty against Nick Carle was embarrassing. The dive should have seen a certain yellow card."
The visitors gained a point with a second half equaliser after a disappointing opening period.
"The last 20 minutes of the first half we were a shambles, but that was down to me as well because of the tactics.
"Second half we were more positive and that takes some doing when you play 10 games in 30 days with a squad of 16 or 17. Some were running on empty but there was a lot of commitment and we could have won it at the end. We showed guts."
The boss was once again asked by all sections of the media on the subject of his own future but he had no update on the situation.
"Nothing has changed, until I am told any differently I have a job to do and it is a difficult job."
