Palace gained a valueable point and the players left the field thankful to their goalkeeper but his performance was no surprise to Paul Hart.

 "I thought he was excellent and I must say having seen him in the short time he has been here I am not surprised.  Week after week he goes about his job; I think he is a terrific goalkeeper."

Four points after three games since Paul has taken over at Selhurst and another clean sheet for a hard working defence.

"I am delighted with the result. I think we weren't firing on all cylinders but we showed tremendous courage."

Since being at the club he has been impressed with the players attitude and their desire to come through this difficult challenge they have in front of them.

"The senior players were a great example for all the younger players.  We are in a tricky situation and if we had not had the points deducted we would be challenging for the play offs."
