Hart : It Was Certainly A Game Of Two Halves

Posted on: Fri 26 Mar 2010

Some people say that there certain expressions which are overused but there was only one which Paul Hart could start his press conference with after watching his side being pegged back at Bloomfield Road.

"It was certainly a game of two halves, I thought we were good value for the first half and the second half they put us under an awful lot of pressure.

"We said to them at half time 'keep going and doing what you've been doing and whatever you do don't concede too early'. Conceding so quickly at the start of the second half was obviously a blow but it was always going to be a struggle for us after that."

As so many times this season Julian Speroni made a number of saves which meant that the side didn't leave empty handed. The boss has certainly seen much to impress him in just the short time he has been at the club.

"Our keeper's fantastic, he's got to be one of the best outside the Premiership." Hart told the official site after the match but was quick to say that it is about the whole squad and working together to achieve the club's aim.

"We've got something like 19 players in our squad and we have to just get on with it.  We're hopeful about staying up, after all no-one said it was going to be easy but we have to keep on hanging on in there."
