Paul Hart will be sending his Crystal Palace players out at Hillsborough pitch to win on Sunday against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Eagles travel to south Yorkshire knowing that a point will secure Championship survival for next season, but Hart is keen for his players not to prepare with the mentality of trying to get the draw.

"We have got to focus on trying to win the game. I don't think it will be wise to pop up to Hillsborough and park outside their 18 yard box for 90 minutes. We have to think we can win the game and we have to go up there with that attitude.

"If you approach it just looking for a point you will get your trousers pulled down, so you have to try and win it...if we approach it like that then we are not going to be nervy so that is my choice, we will go there to sort Wednesday out and get a result."

Sunday evening will mark the end of Hart's contract with the club, but when asked whether he is looking at extending his relationship with Crystal Palace further than May 2nd he admitted that it will be important for any new owners to be able to "make their own decisions" once a takeover goes through.

"I think it is important that the ownership issue is sorted and they are allowed to come into the club able to make their own decisions without people touting for a job.

"I have really enjoyed this challenge, it is a great club; a proper old fashioned club. The people who work around it, in the admin, in the laundry, in the catering; they have been around and supported the club for years...it really has not been too much of a hardship.

"We would have preferred to have been in a better position but if you look at the efforts put in by everybody I think it is a testament to the quality of people here."
