Morrison Contract Boost

Posted on: Thu 03 Jan 2008

Neil Warnock has dismissed speculation that Palace have no plans to renew Clinton Morrison's contract.

The Irish international striker, whose current deal runs out in the summer, stressed his commitment to the club after bagging his 108th Palace goal against Norwich on New Year's Day.

And Warnock has dispelled press reports suggesting he is reluctant to tie down Morrison on extended terms.

"It came out wrong in the papers," said the Palace boss. "Clinton will always have a contract while I'm in charge of Palace - but we just haven't got around to talking about it yet.

"I don't want him to think there won't be a contract - there will always be a contract for him."
