Morrison Honoured

Posted on: Mon 14 Jan 2008

Clinton Morrison has been rewarded for his impressive strike at Wolves by earning a place in the Coca Cola Championship Team Of The Week.

The 28-year-old opened the scoring at Molineux on Saturday with a powerful effort after Ben Watson's free kick was half-cleared.

The 24th-minute goal paved the way for Palace to claim a 3-0 victory that elevated them to a play-off position at the same time as extending their unbeaten league run to 14 games.

It was also Morrison's 12th goal of the season put him joint-third in the list of top hot shots in the 2007/08 Championship. He is now clear fifth in Palace's all-time goal list, one ahead of team-mate Dougie Freedman with a total of 109.

And he joins the likes of Kevin Phillips and Jonathan Greening in the latest team of the week.
