Crystal Palace's attacking midfielder, Victor Moses, earned himself a second consecutive start for the England U19s when they played their final Group B game against Greece on Sunday. However, despite playing a part in the 3-0 win, it was not enough to secure qualification to the next round and the Young Lions will be returning home.

After a disappointing 0-0 draw against the Czech Republic, England went into this match knowing that they had to win if they were to have any chance of progressing; but they were also aware that they needed Italy to lose to the Czechs. Unfortunately, the Azzuri ran out 4-3 winners in an enthralling game to seal the Young Lions' fate.

England, however, put in a final performance to be proud of. A frustrating first half was quickly forgotten when, three minutes into the second, Palace's own, Victor Moses, won a corner on the right hand side and when he swung it into the box, Manchester City's Ben Mee leapt highest to power in a header from six yards.

Their lead was extended in the 68 minute when striker, Daniel Sturridge (Man City), was felled in the area by Vasileios Lampropoulos and the referee pointed to the spot. West Ham's Freddie Spears stepped up and dispatched the penalty with confidence.

The victory was rounded off on 85 minutes when Sturridge broke clear, rounded the keeper and netted from an acute angle.
