Crystal Palace kicked off their pre-season tour of Cornwall in emphatic style by brushing aside Tavistock F.C 4-0.

Two goals from new striker, Calvin Andrew and second half goals from Ben Watson and an og from Tavistock's Chris Short saw the Eagles cruise to victory.

It was the newest signing (Andrew) who opened the scoring for Neil Warnock's men after some suspect defending from the home side put him in on goal and he stroked the ball into an empty net on a second attempt.

The lead was doubled nine minutes into the second half through midfielder Ben Watson who latched onto a brilliant pass from Nick Carle to cooly lift it over keeper Andy Meeds.

It was three soon after when Tavistock defender, Chris Short, turned Danny Butterfield's cross into into his own net to round off a period of sustained pressure from the Eagles.

The victory was sealed a minute later when Andrew pounced to grab his second by converting James Dayton's low cross.
