Earlier this month we revealed the news that Academy Under 17 player Jon Williams was set to represent Wales in a Four Nations Tournament, held last week in Sweden.

 

Jon was involved in all three games, picking up the 'man of the match' award in a tough encounter with Norway and two second half appearances against Iceland and Sweden.

 

The young midfielder proved his worth to the team operating in the hole, providing great link-up play and winning two penalties.

 

Manager Brian Flynn saw his team compete in every match, scoring six, conceding four, resulting in a win against Iceland defeats against Norway and Sweden.

 

Wales U17s will be in action again in late September in Wales in their UEFA Qualifying Group. Matches to be played at Llanelli, Carmarthen and Haverfordwest.
