Assistant Manager Mick Jones has today confirmed that Freddie Sears has not been ruled out of Saturday's away trip to Preston.

The striker was substituted after just 34 minutes against Nottingham Forest at the weekend with a groin strain. But today Mick has told us that he has responded well to treatment:

"Freddie has trained well this week and will be put through his paces today by Nigel Cox and his team to see if he will be ready for Preston.

"We are confident that he will be travelling with us to Deepdale, but if not then he should be available for the QPR game on the Tuesday."
