Andrew Given The All Clear

Posted on: Wed 11 Nov 2009

Striker Calvin Andrew has been given the all clear to play competitive first team football again following an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury in his right knee that has kept him out since May.

The news was broken to www.cpfc.co.uk today by Assistant Manager Mick Jones who told us:

"We have just received the all clear from Calvin's surgeon for him to start playing again. It really has been a remarkable comeback because he is way ahead of schedule.

"The surgeon has done a magnificent job on it, but Calvin has worked so hard during his rehabilitation. I am absolutely delighted for Calvin. The injury was potentially career threatening but I have never seen a player work as hard as him.

"Hopefully by the time the international break is over we will have another player to choose from."
