Mitre Goal Of The Year

Posted on: Wed 20 Jan 2010

The Football League have launched the search to find the Mitre Goal of the Year 2009 and we are asking for your help in deciding which of our goals from the last 12 months should be put forward as our nomination.

We can nominate one goal from any Football League competition in the 2009 calendar year, to include goals scored in the Carling Cup and the Coca-Cola Football League.

We want fans to help us decide our club nomination by either e-mailing us at info@cpfc.co.uk or sending us your nomination via our Twitter page at www.twitter.com/official_cpfc.

E-mails sent should be titled "Mitre Goal Of The Year".

Closing date is at 5pm on Wednesday 20th January.

Our nominated goal will then be entered in the Mitre Goal of the Year category at the 2010 Football League Awards, incorporating FourFourTwo's Top 50 Football League Players.

Past winners of the Mitre Goal of the Year have been Sylvain-Ebanks Blake (Wolverhampton Wanderers - 2009), Jermaine Beckford (Leeds United - 2008), Joe Ledley (Cardiff City - 2007) and Stefan Oakes (Notts County - 2006).
