Tonight Crystal Palace Under 18s take on Derby County Under 18s in the FA Youth Cup Fourth Round at Selhurst Park.
For Palace it is their first game since the previous FA Youth Cup round in December after the freezing temperatures over the past few weeks caused all of their January games to be postponed.
Gary Issott has managed to arrange some indoor friendlies throughout the month as back up, but he is now eager to return to the competitive schedule:
"It has been a really frustrating period for us." he told www.cpfc.co.uk "We haven't played since the 12th of December so we have tried to keep the players going with a couple of friendlies, but there is nothing like a competitive fixture and they have waited long enough for it and are really looking forward to it."
Derby come into tonight's game in a similar position having not played a league game in 2010, but even so Gary believes it will be a tough game, with one player in particular to look out for:
"They are difficult opposition. They have had quite a good season in their respective league.
"I have looked at the video from our last game against them and our team has changed quite a lot since then, and so has theirs.
That was 15, 16 games ago now and they have acquired a central midfield player from Southend who I think is going to be key for them because he looks a decent player. They are going to be tough oppsition."
Tickets for tonight are £3.00 for Adults and £1 for all concessions, and can be purchased at the Box Office.
