Mick Jones has today told www.cpfc.co.uk that Claude Davis, Johnny Ertl and Lee Hills are racing against the clock to be fit for Saturday's game against Peterborough.
Claude missed out on Wednesday night after feeling sick in training, while Johnny Ertl pulled up after four minutes with a hamstring strain and Lee Hills took a knock to his ankle.
"Missing the Newcastle game was probably a plus for Claude because it gave him more time to recover and gives him more of a chance tomorrow. We will be looking at him today and make a decision after training.
"As for Johnny he is obviously a doubt because of the hamstring strain, but again it is a case of looking at how he does in training today to see whether we can play him or not.
"Lee Hills suffered a knock to his ankle during the Newcastle game. On Wednesday night it was badly inflamed and bruised and yesterday I thought he had no chance of playing. But I have seen him this morning and it looks much improved so he has a chance."
