Crystal Palace welcome promoted West Bromwich Albion to Selhurst Park for the final home match of the season tonight and the League's charity, Help For Heroes, will be benefiting from a unique auction.

Members of the British Army 261 signal squadron will be present to lead both sides onto the pitch in this last home match of the season for The Eagles.

Help For Heroes have this season been the league's chosen charity and in this penultimate week of another exciting Championship campaign both clubs are delighted to be donating an exciting prize for auction.

The idea for this fund raising initiative came from Chief Executive of Crystal Palace Football Club, Phil Alexander, who today said "Crystal Palace FC are delighted to take part in such a positive initiative. In these troubled times we forget that we are only playing a football match whilst others are risking their lives on the other side of the world. I hope the shirts raise a great deal of money as it is such a worthy cause."

Gavin Megaw, Director of External Affairs at the Football League is delighted to see both club's supporting Help for Heroes, The League's official charity partner. He said: " It is great to see both clubs working together at Palace's final home game of the season. Help for Heroes is an important charity for The Football League and we encourage fans from both clubs to get bidding when the shirts go online at www.football-league.co.uk following the game."

Mark Jenkins, Chief Executive at WBA said "In our promotion winning season I can see these shirts being much sought after by our supporters and we are delighted to be working with Palace to raise funds for this vitally important charity."

Crystal Palace FC have received special dispensation to enable their players on the night to wear the new home kit for the 2010/11 campaign, as voted by their fans during the closing weeks of this current season.
