Carle Named In Australia Preliminary Squad

Nick Carle has today been included in the Australia preliminary 30-man squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup by Head Coach Pim Verbeek.

The midfielder, who could potentially play in his first World Cup, joins 11 Australians who ply their trade in the English divisions including Tim Cahill, Adam Federici and Mark Schwarzer.

As per FIFA regulations, Verbeek will name his final 23-man squad on Saturday 1st June.
