Crystal Palace fan, Dennis Plummer, travelled to the Beckenham Training Ground on Wednesday to collect his prize from skipper Shaun Derry after winning our Official Crystal Palace Texaco Fantasy League 2009/10.
Dennis, from Watford, held off a chasing pack to win the league with a 55 point margin, sealing the Championship with a total of 709 points.
"I was delighted to win the competition and it was great to come down here and meet Shaun today," he replied when we asked him about his thoughts on winning the Fantasy League.
The competition was started at the beginning of the season when we challenged supporters to join our Fantasy League and pit a team against one selected by Shaun, with the winner receiving a signed Shaun Derry shirt.
The league proved extremely popular with 602 teams taking part, and with the amount of points earned by all of the teams in the division it made it the 8th most successful league in the country.
In the end Shaun was soundly beaten by a number of teams, 96 in fact, with his Derry's Delights just managing to scrape a top 100 place.
"It was a great idea to do something like this and congratulations to Dennis for beating me, and also to the other ninety-odd supporters who finished higher than me!", Shaun told www.cpfc.co.uk.
