With the new season just around the corner George Burley and the rest of the Crystal Palace team are continuing their pre-season preparations in Exeter this week.
The hotel which is situated in 550 acres of idyllic Devon countryside boasts excellent training facilities for the players with a training pitch, gym, tennis courts and two golf courses all within the hotel grounds.
After arriving at the hotel at 2pm yesterday the squad of 18 enjoyed lunch before heading out to train at 4.45pm for just over an hour and a half before heading back in for an evening meal and then back to their rooms to rest.
Having rested during the night the players were up bright and early this morning for breakfast which was shortly followed by a weights session in the gym with the club's sports scientist.
The players headed back out to the training pitches at 10.30am with George Burley setting up training drills designed to improve the players first touch and control, combined with short sprinting exercises to maintain the players fitness.
With training finishing at around midday the players will rest before heading out again to the training fields. At 2pm Calvin Andrew, Darren Ambrose and Wilfried Zaha will be working with Julian Speroni in a finishing drill.

At 4pm the players will be enjoying some tennis and you will be able to watch exclusive highlights of those encounters on Palace Player later this week.
Tomorrow the players will again train in the morning ahead of the evening's game against Dorchester which is scheduled to kick off at 7.45pm and George Burley is looking forward to seeing his players in action again.
"On Saturday will did very well against Chelsea and the players managed to do a lot of what I asked of them which was very pleasing. This week we are down in Exeter to continue with our pre-season training and will have two matches within forty eight hours. This period of the season is crucial for getting the players fit for the upcoming campaign and making sure everybody is ready for the start on August 7th."
