Scannell Out For Up To Six Months

George Burley has told www.cpfc.co.uk that Sean Scannell will require surgery on a knee injury picked up on the pre-season tour of the south west, and will be out for between five to six months.

Speaking to the official website, the Palace manager said: "It looks like Sean is going to have to have an operation on his knee and will be out for five to six months."

In other team news ahead of the weekend's opening game of the npower Championship season against Leicester City, David Wright will be out for ten days with a hamstring strain, while Neil Danns is set to serve the second of his three game suspension.
