A Little More About...Jonathan Obika

Jonathan ObikaObika,19, joined the Spurs academy set-up full time in 2007 and finished the 07/08 season as the Under-18s top goalscorer.

He then made his full debut for the Spurs first team at White Hart Lane in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 second leg draw with Shakhtar Donetsk and more than held his own having made his senior debut as a late substitute during the win over NEC Nijmegen earlier in the competition.

It was enough to encourage Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton to take him on loan to the League One club for the latter part of the 2008-09 season. During his time at Huish Park he scored four crucial goals in his 10 league games, ultimately keeping Yeovil in the division.

He returned to Yeovil on loan at the start of the 2009-10 campaign, and this time he scored seven goals in 25 appearances in all competitions.

A loan move to Millwall in February followed, which led to 12 substitute appearances and place on the bench as the Lions gained promotion to the Championship against Swindon in May, 2010.
