Palace head to Sweden in July for a pre-season tour ahead of the 2007/08 campaign and whilst over there, will be taking part in two friendly games as the squad put in their preparations for the new season.

The first team squad will be in Scandinavia between July 22nd and 28th and during that time will take on Swedish opposition in the shape of IK Oddevold and IFK Gothenburg.

The first game takes place against Gothenburg on Tuesday July 24th at Grebbestad with a 7.30pm kick-off. IFK are a top flight club and one of the most famous Swedish teams having won 17 national titles, four cup titles and two UEFA Cups in their history. They remain the only Scandinavian team to have won a European trophy and are considered to be one of the biggest clubs in Sweden and Scandinavia.

The Eagles will then face Oddevold, who play in the third tier of Swedish football, in Uddevalla on Friday July 27th, again with a 7.30pm kick-off. This game is also going to be a special occasion as Oddevold are celebrating their 75th anniversary and the fixture is also being played in the very same stadium where the Brazilian World Cup winners of 1958 started their campaign with a 3-0 win over Austria.
