Posted on: Fri 12 Mar 2010

It has been a rather cut and dry few weeks for Barnsley in the Championship because in the past 14 games they have either won games or lost games.

They have not been held to draw since they last visited Selhurst Park in December when Daniel Bogdanovic's 20th minute strike was cancelled out by Victor Moses' brilliant overhead kick on 52.

In fact draws have not been common place in Barnsley's season and have only shared points on six occasions, four times at home and twice on the road, which is the lowest in the division. It is a record shared by two other teams - Derby County and Plymouth.

Currently sat in 11th position the Reds have a lot to do if they are still to mount a credible play off challenge. They are seven points outside the top six but have a game in hand on all but one of the five teams above them.

It has been a steady season for Mark Robins' men, and a successful one so far considering their relegation battle last year. Their form both home and away has been good, with their record on their travels marginally worse than at Oakwell.

At home they have won seven times, drawn four and lost six with a goal difference of -3, while away from home they have won six, drawn two and lost nine with a goal difference of -7.
