David Wilkinson.

Croydon-born David has been the number one goalkeeper in the Academy for the past few seasons and he has recently started to make the step up into the reserve side.

The 2005/06 season saw David play a total of 32 games for the Under 18s and reserves and he was an ever-present in the youth side's run to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup.

He again played a vital back-up role in 2006/07 and was named as substitute goalkeeper for the first team in his first year as a professional. Highly regarded by goalkeeping coach Tony Burns, he was offered another 12 month contract for the 2007/08 campaign.
