The Reserves returned from a two month break to win their seventh game of the season on Wednesday night.
At a cold KT Stadium Ronnie Jepson fielded a side with five changes from the team that beat Eastbourne Borough Reserves 3-2 in November, with Kieron Kenlock, Matt Parsons, Alex Wynter, trialist Nicholas McCoy and Kieran Djilali brought into the starting line up.
The away side caused an early shock when Dean Howell gave Aldershort the half time lead, while Oliver Bozanic made things worse for Ronnie's side when he made it 2-0 early on in the second half.
But Palace rallied and scored three goals in just under quarter of an hour to save the fixture and take all three points, with a brace from Kieron Cadogan and a winner from Zaha sealing the win.
Speaking after the game Ronnie was pleased with the effort and commitment his side showed to come back from two goals down:
"Tonight we had a very young back four out but I thought did very well against a very physical Aldershot side. In the first half, in terms of effort and commitment, they were stronger than us but our back line stood up to the task very well.
"Then we went two-nil down early in the second half so we changed things a little, and from there we looked better and created a series of good chances before scoring three goals in 15 minutes.
"As I have said before, it is not all about results in Reserve team football. Instead it is about these boys developing into footballers and showing a level of effort and commitment that we expect of them, which I thought they all showed last night so that was pleasing for me."
The Reserves' next match is on Wednesday 3rd February away to Brighton & Hove Albion. Kick off is at 7pm at the Sussex FA Headquarters, Culver Road, Lancing. For directions click here.
