**However, we've attempted the task nonetheless. Here are some moments worth taking another look at...**

#### **1. A South London takeover**

So many of you headed over to the Saxony state in Germany, via an array of different modes of transport. Whether it was by plane, train or automobile, in the end it was a Palace takeover of Leipzig.

Even a day or two prior to matchday, there was plenty of red and blue on display throughout the city. 

As with every European trip this season, the sheer volume of support was phenomenal.

#### **2. Glasner's rallying cry**

For anyone who did wake up on matchday after a late one the night before, this was the perfect tonic to get you in the mood.

Oliver Glasner's final pre-match message, as with the FA Cup Final 12 months earlier, would prove almost poetic.

#### **3. The Fanzone**

For so long the Conference League quest was about being "on our way to Leipzig". 

But when we finally reached our destination this is what it is all about.

Palace fans enjoying the sunshine, music, and mixing during some great pre-match entertainment, which included an interview with current players Eddie Nketiah and Cheick Doucouré.

#### **4. Club legends getting involved**

On the theme of the Fanzone, plenty of Palace legends were at Marktplatz and around the city on matchday. 

We heard from Mark Bright, John Salako, Scott Dann and Joel Ward as the build-up continued. 

While the current team made history, we can't forget those who laid the groundwork to get the club to where it is today.

#### **5. That Tifo...**

Wembley set the tone for Palace displays to take the breathe away. But this one, displayed just minutes before kick-off, was equally stunning. 

Congratulations to everyone involved in the Tifo. As a rallying cry, it certainly fitted the occasion.

#### **6. An electric atmosphere** 

Leading on from the Tifo display, but just how loud was the Leipzig Stadium? In the first few minutes of that game, it was almost deafening.

The backing the Eagles received throughout the game was extraordinary. With Rayo fans also in tremendous voice and making the most of their first major cup final appearance. At so many times in the evening, the atmosphere was genuinely moving. 

The singing, colour and general backing from the stands at both ends befitted a European final.

#### **7. That goal celebration**

What else is there left to say about the goal that won us a European trophy? 

The goal itself from a purely technical standpoint won't be the best of Jean-Philippe Mateta's 62 for Palace to date. But it was his most important.

The celebrations – both in the stands and on the pitch – will live long in the memory.

The moment a dream became reality. What a moment. 

A nine-month, 17-match, campaign concluding with silverware. Drink it in.

#### **9. Lifting the trophy**

The moment it all sunk in. Once we've witnessed Oliver Glasner's magnificent pitch dive and a magnificent rendition of *Glad All Over*,** the players begin to collect their medals with the captain up last.

The reverberations of the evening were felt way beyond Leipzig. In South London and beyond, fans celebrated lifting silverware.

## Annabel Blanchard

> Blanchard joined Palace in 2022 and has since grown into one of English football's most exciting playmakers.

Blanchard is a young, two-footed forward capable of playing across the front line or, more regularly, as a No. 10.

Blanchard began her career aged just 16 with Liverpool, but started her time with the England youth setup the year before, and has represented the national side from Under-17-Under-19 levels.

She joined Palace in the summer of 2022 and made a strong start in South London, with four goals in 22 Championship appearances in her maiden campaign.

In 2023/24, Blanchard's brilliance shone as Palace Women claimed promotion from the Championship, the forward scoring 11 times in just 19 league games including clinical hat-tricks against both Durham and London City Lionesses.

Such form led to Blanchard not only winning both the Championship Goal and Player of the Month awards in September – as well as a nomination for the latter for November – but also the club's Player of the Month awards for October and March to boot.

At the start of Palace's first-ever top-flight season, Blanchard became our inaugural Women's Super League goalscorer, netting a brace in our first win against Leicester City – 2-0 at the King Power Stadium – in October 2024.

She was crucial to our second-ever promotion to the WSL, playing in every game and scoring six and assisting three.

Her efforts were recognised by the Palace faithful, as she won the Fan's Player of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign.
