## Our Senegalese Sarr

> Ismaïla Sarr became the club’s third signing of the 2024/25 summer transfer window after joining on a five-year deal from Olympique de Marseille.

The 26-year-old attacker possesses plenty of experience of English football, having spent four years at Watford – recording 34 goals and 22 assists in 131 games – prior to joining Marseille, whom he helped reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League last season.

Sarr's career began in French football with Metz, before moving to Rennes and leading the club into Europe, as well as winning their first Coupe de France in almost half a century.

At international level, he has been a mainstay of the Senegal national side, earning 64 caps, scoring 13 goals and winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021.

His career has also been defined by his eye for the spectacular, having won Goal of the Season awards in both the Football League and the Europa League.

Sarr was ever-present in every Premier League matchday squad in his first season at the club, playing in all 38 games, while also featuring in a further nine cup games. He scored 11 goals across all competitions, with eight additional assists - including a stunning effort against rivals Brighton & Hove Albion and a brace against Aston Villa in the FA Cup semi-final.

Having secured victory in our first-ever major European knockout tie, beating HSK Zrinjski Mostar 3-1 on aggregate, our continental campaign continues this coming Thursday against Cypriot Cup holders AEK Larnaca in the Round of 16.

The first leg will be played at home on **Thursday (20:00 GMT)** – and if you haven't yet leant your voice to this historic moment in the club's history, now is the perfect time to do so.

In addition, open auditions will be held in the **Selhurst Park Fanzone** ahead of our Men’s home fixture against Leeds United on **Sunday, 15th March**, and Palace Women’s matchday v Charlton Women on **Sunday, 29th March**.

Interested supporters can drop in **from 12:00** at either match to provide their details in an application form, and record a quick video there and then.

Palace’s first-ever European journey continues against the Cypriot Cup holders, with our first leg at home (**[tickets on general sale here](https://www.eticketing.co.uk/cpfc/EDP/Event/Index/979?position=1)**) on Thursday, 12th March (20:00 GMT) – and the second leg scheduled for **Thursday, 19th March (19:45 EET local time / 17:45 GMT) at the AEK Arena**.

*All tickets for the away leg must be purchased via the CPFC ticketing system and supporters will be required to enter their passport number as part of their purchase. Tickets must be collected in person – more information can be found below.*

Due to the capacity of the AEK Arena, tickets will be extremely limited to approximately 700 tickets.

### Important information

UEFA have confirmed that all matches due to take place in Europe in the upcoming weeks are currently planned to be played as scheduled. The club remains in constant contact with UEFA, who are closely monitoring the current situation in Cyprus and are in touch with local authorities.

Given the uncertainty, the club are unable to provide a charter facility for this game and encourage supporters to read the refund terms and conditions of any flights or accommodation they book carefully, as well as purchasing the relevant travel insurance.

### Ticket collection

All supporters will be required to **collect tickets in-person** at a city centre location to be confirmed. To collect their tickets supporters must display a **valid** **passport** to ensure that tickets are only used by eligible supporters. Tickets cannot be transferred at any time and under no circumstances will tickets be issued without the ticket holder being present.

**All supporters will also be required to take their passport to the stadium, as ticket and ID checks will be performed by the Cypriot police at the turnstiles.** 

It is strongly recommended that you only purchase a ticket if you are absolutely sure you can attend the game. If your circumstances change after you have purchased your ticket, please contact the Box Office as soon as possible.

**Tickets are strictly non-transferrable**. Anyone found transferring tickets without the club’s consent will be banned from purchasing future away games.

Tickets will be priced at £17.50 each.

### Waiting List

Once our allocation of tickets has sold out, a Waiting List will be available to all Season Ticket Holders and Members to join irrespective of Loyalty Points. 

If we receive any returns or an extra allocation at a later date, we will sell in Loyalty Points order.
