Charlie Cross was Crystal Palace's full-back during his six years at the club in the 1920s, playing on both sides of the back four – deployed as a left-back between 1922-1927 before switching to right-back for his final season as a Palace player.
The defender was signed from Coventry City by manager Edmund Goodman, making from his debut against Hull City in October 1922.
