Date of birth
Danny Butterfield joined from Grimsby Town in the summer of 2002 and made an immediate impact by being an ever-present in his first season with the club.
The 200 Club entrant was famed for his versatility during his time in south London where he played as a right-back, right-winger, central defender and of course a striker in the FA Cup against Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2010, achieving the perfect hat-trick in just six minutes and 48 seconds.
He was part of Iain Dowie's promotion-winning squad - missing one league game in the 2003/04 season - which culminated in the play-off final victory against West Ham United at the Millennium Stadium.
