Olympic Torch To Pass Selhurst

20 July 2012

On Monday (23rd July) the Olympic torch will make its way straight past Selhurst Park en route to the Olympic Stadium for the opening ceremony on Friday 27th July.

Palace have an amazing opportunity to be part of Great Britain’s history with the route taking the torch down past the Whitehorse Lane Stand, along Whitehorse Lane and as you would expect everyone at the club is preparing to make the most of this once in a lifetime experience.

The Palace cheerleaders, the Crystal Girls, will be out and about entertaining the crowd as they wait for the torch to pass. On top of that the club will be handing out free Eagles merchandise and the club shop will be on hand selling everything from iPhone cases to the new Palace home kit. This is a great chance for any Palace fans to come down and support the club as well as supporting the torch and torch bearers, so join us on Monday.

The torch will start its route to Whitehorse Lane at 11.25am from Crystal Palace Park so the torch is expected in SE25 at 11.45am and we will be beginning activities from 11am, so make sure you get to Selhurst Park with plenty of time to spare and don’t miss out!
